About

I am an artist based in Brigg, North Lincolnshire, inspired by the wildlife and countryside that surrounds me. Growing up in this landscape has shaped my work, and I aim to capture the beauty of the rural environment beyond towns and cities. 

I began developing my artistic practice during my A-Levels, although drawing and creating have always been a natural part of my life. My work focuses on celebrating the character and atmosphere of the countryside, particularly during the darker or more overcast days that are common in the British landscape.

A distinctive element of my process is the use of a vibrant coloured ground in a red shade beneath the painting. Allowing this base layer to remain visible creates a sense of harmony within the composition while adding energy and warmth to scenes that may otherwise feel muted. Through this approach, I aim to reintroduce colour and vibrancy to the landscapes and wildlife of my local area and beyond.
