This scene is based around a photo I took last year whilst in North Yorkshire. I love the way the fields feel so alive and the hills look like they are actually rolling.
I started this painting like I start all my others with a red under painting which I always let peak through to the final piece to add some pops of colours. This is the first time I used the stripey backgrounds in my work on a landscape and I really like how it turned out and I will be doing so in the future.
