This is a scene based on a photo take last year while on holiday in Northumberland. Painting scenes from holidays always takes me back to how I felt during the time taking it. I’m quite scared of geese so shortly after I took the photo this painting was based on I was running.
I started this painting like I start all my others with a red under painting which I always let peak through to the final piece to add some pops of colours. I was very much enjoying using gold as an accent in my paintings and this one is no different. I love the way the gold makes the painting feel so much more nostalgic.
